1. Who we are

This policy covers northlaneusa.com, operated by Northlane Enterprises LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Dallas-Fort Worth ("Northlane," "we," "us"). For any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@northlaneusa.com.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what's needed to respond to you and operate the site:

• Contact and quote form submissions: name, email, phone, company, role, project details, budget range, timeline, message, and any files you attach. Used to respond to your inquiry and evaluate project fit. Lawful basis: your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
• Newsletter signup: email address only, used to send updates you've asked for. Lawful basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Subcontractor registration (when that feature is live): company, contact, trade, licensing, and insurance information, plus W-9 and certificate-of-insurance documents, used to evaluate and manage subcontractor relationships. Lawful basis: contract / legitimate interest in vetting delivery partners.
• Basic technical data: standard web server logs and the page you came from (referrer, UTM parameters if present), used to understand how visitors find the site and to score inbound leads.

We retain inquiry and subscriber records for as long as reasonably needed for business and legal purposes, and delete or anonymize them on request where we're not required to keep them.

3. Cookies and similar technology

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The only third-party cookie is set by our live chat provider, Tawk.to — and only once you opt in through the cookie banner (or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer) and actually load the chat widget. Nothing from Tawk.to runs before that choice. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. If we add analytics or marketing tools later, they'll go through the same consent banner before any such script runs, and this section will be updated to list them.

4. Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers (processors) to run this site and respond to inquiries:

• Resend — sends email notifications and confirmations (United States).
• Cloudflare R2 — stores files uploaded through forms (global network, request-routed).
• MongoDB Atlas — hosts our database (United States region).
• Vercel and Railway — host the website and API (United States).
• Tawk.to — operates the live chat widget, only after you opt in via the cookie banner.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you're contacting us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

6. Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing, under GDPR / UK GDPR. If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate data, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as defined by that law. If you're in Australia, our handling of your information follows the Australian Privacy Principles, including how we disclose information overseas (see section 5 above).

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where applicable as an opt-out of sale/sharing.

7. Children

This site is a business-to-business and business-to-government site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. How to exercise your rights

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes materially.
